Club 47 Friends.....

Out the door this morning to the city..as it was my gallery day. Did NOT get food or coffee before leaving.... so stopped at Starbucks..and did NOT get Lemon pound cake...yeah for me!!! I did pack my little pink lunchbox with my fat free plain yogurt and oat bran,...but forgot to pack a packet of splenda....so went next door to the Pajama Bakery and bought a piece of spinach -mushroom quiche....TOTALLY on program... and a pumpkin cookie..TOTALLY NOT on program!!!! Also took my own 20 oz iced tea..and got that down..YEAH.... Got Home...a little stressed after bumper to bumper traffic on both highways... for dinner had a bag of microwave popcorn a piece of cheese...and 2 pieces of lunch meat....oh..then a mini bag of chips...kind of like a mini binge!!!!????!!!:( Already walked and played with the dogs.....they slept great last night....which means I did as well......going to walk in just a bit..more later...

Club 47 Friends...

I have officially gained one pound back...so I am only down 15 lbs .....quite discouraging..no more messing around...no more excuses...gotta get moving again in the right direction.

Started my day with 2 scrambled eggs and a 1/2 liter of water ..yeah for me....

Have not eaten in the a.m. in awhile unless it was a Starbucks no-no in the car!!

11:43....just now having my coffee..cannot drink coffee with eggs..YUCK!!! 

3:00 p.m. 2 cookies at my desk...still at my desk.....yes I know.... 

6:45 Dinner out...Mexican with friends...I had strip steak and 2 small corn tortillas, 5 chips and fresh salsa...one margarita...a big glass of water

8:45---20 minute walk with dogs....no..not counting that as my workout..

9:30 -16 0z of decaf unsweet iced tea....going to work out now..

did NOT get to paint yet...maybe for a few after working out....

11:07 p.m  Just did 24 minutes on the Lifecycle and bicep curls...had another glass of unsweet decaf iced tea....just opened an email and was reminded I must be in the city a 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to change out art...I think I may not get to paint tonight afterall..

Gotta throw the toy to those dogs..read the Bella and Baxter page....we are in a "dogs up all night" crisis!!

Club 47 Friends... I updated last night's post this morning

I slept until 10:00 ...YEAH!!!! I have been quite sleep deprived...so I am thrilled!!

I did have a glass of water ...one down --7 to go!!! 

11:45..Have been at my desk since i got up...gotta go have some coffee!!!

 I want to thank the fellow Club 47 artists who have allowed me to feature them the past couple of weeks, and I plan to continue to feature a new artist each week. With the new blogger templates, there are so many new features and wonderful options. I am also loving the new blogger interface, though I did NOT at first...it took me an entire day of playing.

I have created a new page titled Artists Corner....just for my fellow featured artists. I have also created the page "In the Studio"...inspired by the Front Range studio Tours this past weekend. I had planned to feature the studios of Colorado artists on the ArtistsofColorado.org website...but I decided to take the idea a step further, and ALSO feature studios of artists from all over the world here on my blog, as well as studio tips and gadgets that any of you would like to share. Please visit the new pages and send me your thoughts and your studio photos.I will also do my best to begin posting again  to the 
Daily Musings page at least 3 days a week..as I am writing for my CLUB 47 friends on my main post!!

Club 47 Friends...

No painting to post today....thought to get up and photograph before leaving for my blog workshop..but it did not happen....now leaving town for my Son's first college Hockey game...we thought the game was at 7:30..but it is at 5:15 and we probably have a 1 1/2 hour drive there on a Friday afternoon...

it is now 2:46 p.m. so I am off to a BAD start today regarding eating!!!

More tonight...

3:15  I bought 2 pieces of cheddar cheeses at the gas station and ate them in the car, on the drive with water...was starving!!


9:00 p.m. Stopped for dinner on the way home...I had stuffed mushrooms and one VERY TINY
piece of pizza and water...not home until after 11:00...so again..NO exercise!!

Club 47 Friends...

9:00a.m. I had planned to get up early and walk..but I actually slept so well last night for a change....that I did NOT wake up...yeah!!!!!! I feel much more rested..
Will walk tonight.
Had coffee at my desk already this morning...heading into the city to work the gallery today. I did pick up come sushi last night to take with me for lunch today...NO lemon pound cake from Starbucks!!!!! There is a reason it is called POUND CAKE!!!!...More later:)

11:30 a.m... I had 6 little California rolls..( the crab stuff with avacado and brown rice) and a large iced tea.Unfortunately,,there is a dish of candy corn laying around..YIKES!!! One of my favorite October treats is the combination of candy corn and peanuts...LOVE that Sweet & Salty thing!!!
 
2:30 p.m....GUESS WHAT???? I JUST REALIZED THAT WHEN I SWITCHED MY BLOG TO THE NEW TEMPLATE..THE COMMENTS NOW WORK.......PLEASE LET ME HEAR FROM YOU....I AM SOOOO STRUGGLING WITH MOTIVATION TO EXERCISE...THE "MODE" HAS LAPSED...WHAT DO YOU DO TO GET MOTIVATED??????????? TELL ME ,TELL ME..PLEASE!!!!:):)

7:00 p.m I had a 1/2 of a twice baked potato that I picked up last night.. still not too hungry..will try to eat more later!!
 8:35 p.m. I am so sleepy...sat in front of the computer all day at the gallery and for the last 3 hours at home...need to go for that walk!!!! 

OOPS...not sure how I forgot this but I also had a piece of bread with butter for dinner. I am still under 1200 calories for the day...UNFORTUNATELY.... most of them were carbs---nOT GOOD...

12:50 a.m. Well..I ended the night with vanilla ice cream...telling myself it might ease this heartburn I've had all day...how funny is that??? I could have taken a TUMS instead.
I did get a walk in..only 20 min..but better than nothing!!

Very long work days the past few weeks..many nights at my desk until 2:00 a.m. losing that little bit of balance that I had reclaimed...okay...gonna get back on track...gotta walk or ride the bike for at least 30 min....burn off some stress if nothing else..more later:)


Did NOT exercise...when I left the computer it was raining outside...just had no motivation to do the bike..so painted instead!! Struggling with motivation to exercise....

Club 47 Friends.....
Obviously..did not post yesterday... I believe I will take Sunday's off now...the boy's are home many weekends and I like to focus on them...it is good to not have the pressure of posting.

Still did not feel great yesterday...babying my stomach.....
I did great to go to the Frontrange Open studios in Colorado Springs yesterday and visit Colorado artist Carol McIntyre's studio...just LOVE it...and her. I will feature her studio on the Artists of Colorado website soon, and will announce it on my blog so that you can all visit..

Tomorrow I will feature a fellow CFAI and Club 47 artist on my blog..be sure to check in!!

1:48 p.m. Have only had coffee, almonds and water so far..out the door early for hair color and facial waxing ( the joy of being a woman this age!!)
Four hours later...YIKES..I am back at my desk...

It is less than 8 weeks until my 47th birthday..the end of the Club 47 Challenge...ans I am only down 16 lbs...I have got to amp it up big time...there is no way of course, to reach that 47 lb goal...so my new goal from this day is 16 more lbs..yes..I know it is hard to lose 2lbs a week EVERY week....but I am one of those girls who thinks he higher I set the bar..the better I do..so we shall see!!

11:06 p.m.12 oz water...just finished painting and walked dogs..going to do 30 min on the stationary bike before bed....

Club 47 Friends....
This painting was supposed to be posted yesterday. I did not get to post yesterday morning before I left for the city, and by the time I returned home last night my internet was down AGAIN!!
We have installed a new larger router, and moved it around the house 3 times now..we have had Comcast out and the Geek Squad to no avail.
When the box is in the Fam room...all computers work..but VERY SLOWLY..( NOT an option). When it's in the laundry room....the computers that work are FAST..( when they work..but service is intermittent) but not all of them work..some don't get the signal..YIKES!!!!! I cannot work with no internet!!!!!:):)
Anyhow..yesterday I stayed n program and I am still down that 16th pound..yeah!!!

10:32 a.m. Have had coffee with 1/2&1/2 so far!!!

1:30 p.m. A bowl of my homemade veggie beef soup with 1 oz of cheese and 6 croutons...water.

7:00 p.m. Business dinner out...small piece of steak, salad, mashed potatoes,green beans...few bites of carrot cake...I actually ate less than 1/2 of my meal...tummy was not feeling too great.

10:30 p.m. 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream..water

10:00 a.m. Coffee with cream..8 oz glass of water

2:00 p.m. A bowl of freshly made homemade soup....it was made with V-8..stewed tomatoes..broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, carrots, red onion, green beans, brown rice, and 93% lean ground beef...it is cooler again here..so I was again in the mood..and made a larger pot this time. Also Ice Water

4:45 Iced coffee, unsweet and a piece of lemon lb cake from Starbucks...YIKES....got too hungry... more later



6:00 More vegie beef homemade soup and 2 glasses of water.

10:30 p.m. 2 glasses of water

Still no exercise...power cleaned tonight until 12:30.

Club 47 Friends....HAPPY MONDAY...I am feeling great...almost no pain...healed quickly!!!
Saturday I was able to attend the beautiful cliff side wedding of a very, very dear friend,that I have known for 26 years!!!I will post a photo below....it was a gorgeous wedding ...and fun for me to put on a dress and wear pearls and diamonds..yes..I am one of those girls who mixes my pearls and diamonds!!!

I am feeling good and hoping to be back on track today with the CLUB 47 weight loss plan...still holding at 15 lbs lost...I did get some great painting time in yesterday..so have some new Club 47 pieces to share this week...the 6x6 pieces are very hard to get a good photograph of..but they are all very pretty little pieces.

I have a business lunch today,then a business meeting following, then straight to teaching.....so will not get 6 meals in for sure..but planning to NOT eat carbs..:)it is 10:07 a.m. ..gonna have my morning coffee....then head out.

3:44 p.m. Did great at lunch..had a salad, coffee and water....now to teach...:)
7:00 p.m. 4 oz Greek nonfat plain yogurt with splenda and oat bran...
Then I got in a 45 min power walk.

Club 47 Friends...
well...you will laugh..because...it seems to never end...yesterday ended with me in the E.R....I thought my right lung may have partially collapsed ( this happened twice to my Day and 3 times to my brother...and my symptoms were similar)

After an xray and exam...the gist of it is I have pulled muscles/strained cartilage
between my chest wall and sternum...so I am again on muscle relaxants and pain killers...but hopefully not for long. My range of motion is limited..which makes driving difficult.....so I am laying low at home today..and hoping to sit at a table and paint later..today's painting is not new..I did NOT paint yesterday...obviously..or work out,but I DID eat well....yougurt..and homemade vegetable beef soup twice... More later...

Okay..so..last night ended badly with a mini binge..I did not consume a binge like amount of food...but I could not get satisfied..and kept eating little bits of different things.....I had a 1/2 cup of ice cream...then 4 rosemary -olive oil triscuits....then 5 croutons...then cheetos....then I warmed abput 12 sweet potato fries ( the frozen kind) and sprinkled brown sugar on them and dipped them in ranch dressing.....it was just a train wreck...I don't feel well, and I guess I was looking for comfort food..but nothing was comforting me..oh..then..I had 4 oz of skinny girl margarita..yikes!!!!

I had planned to feature another club 47 artist today...but since I posted so late..I will feature her tomorrow and post in the morning.

I know everyone knows by now that Carol and David Marine of Daily Paintworks tragically lost their home in the Texas fires...I do not know if everyone knows that there is a fundraiser going for them...to help them get back on their feet...but here is the link http://www.noonesthebitch.com/http:/2011/09/05/carol-and-david-lost-their-home-a-fundraiser/#.TmTxLNTYD7x.facebook

In light if this event...I am switching the focus of CLUB 47 for the next 30 days.
Up until this point, $4.70 of each Club 47 painting sold has been earmarked to be donated to Breast Cancer research on November 16th at the close of the Club 47 Challenge.For the next 30 days, until October 8th...$4.70 of each Club 47 Painting will be set aside to be donated to the Carol & David Marine fund on October 9th.

I ask that you keep CFAI co founder and my dear friend Laurie Pace and her husband Terri in your prayers...the fires are all around their home..and they could be evacuated anytime.

On October 10th, the Breast Cancer part of the fundraiser will resume.


So today....
12:00 coffee //cream

2:00.p.m. 2 eggs scrambled with cheese

Then I made homemade soup..it is cold here and feels and smells like fall
My soup is made with lean ground beef with onions and garlic..cauliflower.broccoli carrots and green beans..I love green beans

5:45 p.m. A big bowl of my home made soup with topped with shredded cheese and water.


9:26 p.m. I was able to get in a 45 min power walk..yeah!!! I had to push myself..still a bit dizzy and nauseated from the dizziness..but it felt good to get back to exercise...just made some decaf iced tea.determined to get back to my 8-10 glasses of fluids a day..

Just arrived home from teaching a blogging workshop in Denver....going to go paint now!!!!....It is 3:27 p.m. and I have only had coffee and a cookie...YIKES...Bad, Bad....was on the road early this morning.

Club 47 Friends...

Yikes...I was at my desk until 3:15 a.m. this morning...then back at 9:30...I have been here all day with the exception of an hour to have lunch with son#3 before he went back to school. The boys were home this weekend for son # 4's birthday.
So...I am way behind in work!!!!!

I had no breakfast..and egg ans a pancake for lunch...with coffee and water..that's it so far...gonna get up from this desk and take a walk...it is already 6:24 p.m.

CLUB 47 Friends....
We have 3 of the 4 boys home this weekend...son # 4 has a hockey tournament. and it is also his birthday tomorrow...we have been eating on the run and I have not done well..yesterday I had a cheeseburger and fries , watermelon, toast with jelly and ice cream...YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!

I am hoping for more self control today...I actually feel sick from the food I have eaten the past few days...heading out..more later...

It is 3:10 a.m. on Monday morning..I am just wrapping up my Sunday....we had Hockey..and Birthday festivities for son #4, then drove son #3 back to school...arrived home at midnight,and I have been at my desk trying to catch up since then.

I did not get a chance to eat today until noon, and had a petite vanilla scone from Starbucks with coffee.

Birthday dinner was at Buffalo Wild Wings...I did great..with 4 wings,a few bites of a grilled chicken breast and water.
My downfall was a Snickers bar driving home from Greely...more to stay awake than anything!! Still...I did not have too many calories today,,actually probably not enough calories... heading to bed now...determined to get back on my walking program tomorrow:)

Yesterday I did not blog the daily details...sorry..it was a really tough day:)
I had yougurt in the morning. a piece of pizza for lunch and scrabbled eggs for dinner. I worked until 2:30 a.m. this morning, then I was wired and the puppy was even more wired..so I slept from a little after 5:00 and was up at 7:30...at my desk by 8:00.Woke up yo cold sores on my lip..YUCK!!!!

Today....Up at 7:30 ..at my desk at 8:00

9:30 Coffee with cream ..a vanilla oreo..I know, I know..we have NO food in the house..I have got to get to the store!!!
Ran into Denver to the gallery to drop off food for tonight's art walk...I will arrive late, as we have the opening game of son #4's hockey tournament tonight.

2:20. That is NOW..I have a piece of Tilapia in the toaster oven and broccoli waiting to heat.....gotta pick up the house shower and be at the rink by 4:15.
