This painting was supposed to be posted yesterday. I did not get to post yesterday morning before I left for the city, and by the time I returned home last night my internet was down AGAIN!!
We have installed a new larger router, and moved it around the house 3 times now..we have had Comcast out and the Geek Squad to no avail.
When the box is in the Fam room...all computers work..but VERY SLOWLY..( NOT an option). When it's in the laundry room....the computers that work are FAST..( when they work..but service is intermittent) but not all of them work..some don't get the signal..YIKES!!!!! I cannot work with no internet!!!!!:):)
Anyhow..yesterday I stayed n program and I am still down that 16th pound..yeah!!!

10:32 a.m. Have had coffee with 1/2&1/2 so far!!!

1:30 p.m. A bowl of my homemade veggie beef soup with 1 oz of cheese and 6 croutons...water.

7:00 p.m. Business dinner out...small piece of steak, salad, mashed potatoes, green beans...few bites of carrot cake...I actually ate less than 1/2 of my meal...tummy was not feeling too great.

10:30 p.m. 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream..water

Club 47ers.....

Today was not as great as the last few...

11:00a.m. 8 oz of iced tea, 5 oz of Greek nonfat plain yogurt (with 1/3 packet of splenda) and 1 1/2 tablespoons of oat bran.

11:45 a.m. small cup of coffee ( made a big one , just didn't drink much)

2:00 p.m. 6 slices of thin roasted chicken lunch meat with a little pico de gallo and a teaspoon of guacamole rolled up...16 of iced tea

7:30.p.m. Went to dinner with friends, I had a steak with a little pico de gallo and sour cream ( of course the sour cream was not nonfat....baaaad)and water.

I spent most of the day at my desk..ranting and raving at my computer as nothing seemed to go right....probably because it is SATURDAY and I should not have been at my desk!!!! I am trying to learn to make videos and use youtube,....it is always the simple things that trip me up...why is that????? Did a little painting this morning.I have NOT had enough to drink today...need to drink another 20-30 ounces before bed.

9:49.p.m. Have NOT had my power walk yet....I am fading..not sure it's gonna happen....

This is my video below (my very first one).....5:00 p.m.....still at my desk..hair never got combed...well, not until 6:30 when I showered to go out.I am listening to a tutorial on youtube ready to bash my computer in out of frustration...not really...but..yeah..kind of....needed some sillying up...I made up that word.... .. let's see if It works and can be seen...yes..I must be crazy to post this...but I have already bared my soul to my Club 47 Friends..I may as well unveil my uncombed hair and lack of makeup....by the way..I do have some vanity..I chose the Thermal effect on photo booth......as it seems to camouflage quite a bit...I also like the color pencil setting...oh..and pop art is fun ....

Just so you know........

11:28.p.m. Yesterday, Thursday, was the first day of week 4....I did NOT work out...and did not eat well...did not work out or eat well today either....have been swamped with work this week, teaching clinics, transporting art and trying to catch up.(missed a lot of work last week with pain meds, etc) Last week was a big bummer with the shoulder, then foot....ate comfort food a few times, and missed 4 days of exercise....which made me eat worse... FOOT feels good tonight...I was at my desk most of the day so off of the foot.

It's time to get back on track....tomorrow is technically day 3 of week 4 already...so here are my goals for the rest of the week

*60 minutes of cardio all 5 days that are left
* 80 oz of water/tea
*only one coffee a day ( I did succeed in this goal last week)
*at least 7 hours of sleep a night(i did succeed here last week)
*eat 300 calorie meals 5 times a day
*sketch 5 days ( I did meet this goal last week)
*NOT to WEIGH ( i cheated and weighed last week....big mistake)
*to post a $47.00 painting every day(missed one day last week when internet was down)

9:58 p.m. Today was super busy...I was running most of the day to and from appointments.. had coffee this morning...but nothing to eat until 2:30 when I drove through McDonalds to get a small vanilla ice cream so I could take my pain med (which i forgot to take this morning and shoulder was really hurting).
At 3:30 I met a friend between appointments and had chicken salad from the King Soopers deli....it was totally Atkins..it was really good, and I had a big helping!!!! Also had a 20 oz iced tea....
At 6:00 p.m. I had an Atkins peanut butter cup and at 9:30 I had 2 scrabbled eggs with sauteed mushrooms and one ounce of cheese....and 20 ounces of iced tea.

So...got enough calories today I think ..not enough water....haven't worked out yet..shoulder is REALLY HURTING.....may try to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes....really don't feel well.....we will see...may just take pain meds and go to bed....

I had many emails yesterday with lots of questions..and I answered them all on my post last night....see the post below this one!!!!

I will be gone all day today ...have a little show about 1 1/2 hours away...have packed a little chest with celery, cheese, turkey, nuts and water...my big hat sunglasses and sunscreen...will be sitting a lot so will certainly need that hour of cardio tonight.

6:47 p.m. Back form the show a couple of hours ago....it was a BUST...as i was afraid it might be, but I wanted to go anyway...knowing i would get to spend the day with my friends and fellow daily painters Susan Fowler, Miriam Brock and Pam Holnback....it was great to be out with GIRLS!! I live in a MAN WORLD!!!!:)

I had a protein shake and bottle of water on the road early this morning ___yeah for me!!!!!

Had celery, cheese, a fresh tomato and red pepper dip for lunch out of the ice chest (forgot the turkey)..it was great but I was STARVED when I got home and had a small piece of last nights salmon, another tomato and some celery about 5:00 p.m.

I also had an 8 oz and a 20 oz bottle of water at the show and a 20 oz bottle on the way home!!!!
Yeah for me!!!!

THEN..... after the salmon..I had half of a Wendys kid size chocolate ice cream thingy..what is it called???? I think it might even be frozen yogurt...anyway...no more carbs allowed today ...that was it. A Frosty...That's what it's called....but only half of the kid size..needed comfort food!!!!

I only slept 2 hours last night (NOT ON PURPOSE!!!)....JUST COULD NOT SLEEP....SO WILL TRY TO GET THERE BEFORE MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

I am at Starbucks writing this...when I got home my internet was down...so came here to write and answer mail...gotta run...the puppies were home alone for a long time today
( the men were golfing)...will post more later when HUBBY gets home and gets the internet back up!!!!

Oh....yes...the situps..I did NOT do them last night..I was super sore from Thursday nights situps....but will do them tonight....more later:)

And....Thanks for ALL of the WONDERFUL emails today!!!!!
I will get the new pledges posted tomorrow!!!

11:29 p.m. Well....just as i was getting ready to work out..at 8:25...our dear friends whom we don't get to see nearly enough ( though they live 5 minutes away)called and invited us over for a cocktail..
( in 35 minutes)..how wonderful and ADULT!!!!! So we went.....but I ran up..jumped on the lifecycle for 15 hard fast minutes...really..no warm up..just fast pedaling..got super sweaty ( I figured that was better than NO workout at all)then a 2 minute shower and fresh clothes.. I had Skinny Girl Margaritas , chips and Salsa....so a small setback...in that I had a few more carbs...but still not a great many calories for the day...and it was SOOOO worth it....they have a gorgeous resort feeling patio/back yard..the breeze was going...truthfully....it was just what Don & I both needed...Thanks Deb and Mike...we so love you both!!

Soooooo....tomorrow it is 60 minutes of cardio AT LEAST!!!!!

I am heading to bed, but WILL DO MY SITUPS FIRST.....I AM REALLY DOING THEM CAROL...did you do yours????!!!:):)

More tomorrow!!

This is soooo cool..I received over 50 emails yesterday and even a few phone calls regarding CLUB 47.
You poured out your hearts, cried, laughed, told me jokes......poked fun at yourselves....I am so very touched...and now have many new people to add to my prayer journal...I will definitely need to extend my payer time!!!! I have posted many of the pledges in the right hand column, and will continue to do so as you give me permission...but know that I have written them all down..so that I may refer to my list daily and check in on you!!!! You were painfully honest in your letters, and I feel I own you nothing less than to be the same, and I will be...every single day!!!!
As posted..the Challenge officially begins today, Thursday, June 23rd,2011.
I love some of the pledges you gave and am going to add a few of them to my pledge list.
One was 47 situps a day...though it will be a bit ,I'm sure before I can do all 47 at once??? We shall see. Today I will try to break my hour of exercise into 3 20 minute sessions. The reason for this, is I tend to go straight to my desk in the morning, and before I know it, it is 2:00 p.m. and I have not gotten up to pee, eat..or even get my first cup of coffee. I have worked on average 12-18 hours a day 6-7 days a week for two straight years....my dear friend Laurie Pace can vouch for me there....as can those of you that I frequently email at 3:00 a.m.
I am NOT bragging.....but am Confessing....my life is completely out of balance and
unhealthy, and a great contributor I know to my weight gain....
Going all day without eating is equally as bad, as the body goes into starvation mode and holds onto your fat. I worked in the fitness industry for years, and used to teach all that stuff...how on earth did I get here???? More on that tomorrow.
Tonight I will log back on and add to this post what I ate and my exercise success!!!!

I am not brave enough to post a "weight", but so we have a public starting point..below is a picture of me Sunday with my 4 wonderful sons..they invited me to golf with them!!Yep...it was pretty hot out there in my black cargo pants, but I have not had shorts on in years!!

4:37 p.m......YIKES...not doing so well on day 1..it is 4:37 p.m. and I have been at my desk all day with the exception of a quick trip to ship paintings and hit Starbucks!!!! oh...and a few minutes trying to figure out my new camera...it does not photograph 5x7's very well..I am doing something wrong.....I grabbed a granola bar while at Starbucks...darn...should have made my egg before hitting the computer this morning....gonna go do my first of 3 20 minute sessions now..then will cook fish for dinner...then more exercise...will post more later!!!:)

8:40 p.m.--oh my..still have not worked out..had to pick up dog doo, clean last night's paint mess off the table, make dinner....and tone 2 canvases for my late night painting session...NOW i am leaving for my power walk.oh..and I ate 1 piece of tilapia, a small salad and celery for dinner..

9:27 p.m. Just did 35 minutes of walk-run-walk-run..what is with that horrible all over body itching as your heart rate climbs..not always,,,but sometimes...???? I have only EVER had that since I have been heavier. I thought I was going to scratch my body bloody for all of the cars passing by to see.....YIKES!!! Heading to my basement now to do 25 min on the Eliptical.....

10:09 p.m. Finished 25 minutes...but had to improvise...could not find any of the remotes in the basement where the Elipitcal is, so instead rode my Lifecycle in my bedroom to Real Housewives of New York..YEP...you heard me right..yep...just a bunch of silly women with NO concept of reality...yep...they are mostly botox and plastic...BUT....I must admit...it is motivating to look at them while working out..it makes me want to be the BEST (real) version of ME....and it will be wonderful to be able to wear really pretty clothes again!!! Leaving now to walk
Miss Bella & Mr Baxter...oh crud...forgot the 47 situps...will run up and do that now.....then walk Miss Bella & Mr. Baxter..

10:27 p.m. Did it....twice....47 situps--30 second isolation hold-47 situps-30 second isolation hold..now will walk dogs..

12:40 a.m....Just finished a sample painting for one of my "kidz" summer clinics....gonna try to go to bed....I have been up until 4:00 a.m. everyday this week this far. Just had celery and a tiny bit of ranch...really wanting some Quaker granola cereal...(craving something sweet)..better head to bed quickly!!
