Club 47 Friends...
I have to confess I am really struggling...since the boys left...I should be hyper focused on the "goals" but I find I am feeling scattered...and not even as focused as before they left.Finding a "new normal"as my friend put it, is not as easy as I had expected...
I am determined to change the "Body clock" as I spoke of the other day..I know that will help me restructure my day in a more reasonable manner. I did great Monday and Tuesday..was up early both days..but today, it was 10:00...I did sleep a decent amount last night, but I guess I am still way behind, I was exhausted.
It is a bit cooler here today, so I am planning to get in a walk before teaching.
I am still holding at that 15 lbs lost...actually...the scale goes up and down between 13 and 15. I am frustrated that I am so behind schedule with the lbs lost...I know I wont begin to lose again until I get my head straight and my mind focused. I so appreciate all of the emails and support..don't give up on me...and know I am praying for each of you that have written, that you achieve your goals as well:)

Today ended super stressful..our internet went down this morning while I was uploading an image to my blog....and when it came back on..all of my gadgets, etc..
that are usually in the right and left hand columns were on the bottom..I changed templates several times..deleted all of my gadgets...and still nothing worked, until
best friend in the world and CFAI partner Laurie Pace found me an answer...Laurie knows EVERYTHING...and what she doesn't know..she knows where to go and whom to ask!!!!
So..if any of you ever have this issue...call me...and I will tell you how to fix it. It will take days to get everything loaded back on my blog...so if you were on my blog roll and don't see it there by Friday...shoot me an email!!!:)

Club 47 Friends...
I slept last night!!!!! It was great..,I have been at my desk since 7:45...going to get my coffee now and head downtown to the gallery.More later...


10:12 p.m.I was downtown at the gallery all day...spackled and painted my wall for First Friday Art walk this weekend...lots of admin..taught an art class there...exhausted...

1:00 p.m. I had 1/2 sandwich from the place next door....I always take yogurt and cheese sticks for lunch..but I was starved...

7:00.pm.m Salad with strips of steak...water...margarita

Did not eat enough times today..or drink enough..it is hard when I am there all day....

But...it was a good day... I feel blessed:) I met a wonderful,new Colorado Photographer, and will,feature him on my blog tomorrow...so check in...I will feature other wonderful artists in the days to come!!

Club 47 Friends...Happy Monday!!!!
8:14 a.m. I have been at my desk since 7:30...trying to retrain by body clock!! I set my clock to walk at 6:30 this morning, but my foot is pulling pretty badly...so need to get it loosened up ..hopefully I can walk in a bit!!

I have spent the last two years working until 2,3,or 4 a.m.(up until I began Club 47),
so my body likes to be awake and up at 9:00. Now that summer is basically over, kids are not coming in all hours...my goal is to be sleeping by 11:30 up by 6:30...walk and be at my desk by 8:00.This is a new goal in my Club 47 Challenge.

I have lost 15 lbs and am holding,..every pound seems to be tough right now..but I have NOT been eating enough most days,..and the days I have eaten..I have cheated a little...I know a bunch of little cheats add up.....gotta stop cheating.

11:30 a.m. Greek nonfat yogurt with splenda and oat bran...water

1:30..Leftover hot dog....Hebrew hot dog..nitrate free...etc...4 ruffles chips
2 small cubes of pineapple

3:00 p.m. a Lean Cuisine..190 Cal/14 carbs/ 1/2 cup of strawberries..water




9:46 p.m. I am calling it a night..I have been at my desk for 14 plus hours today..with the exception of teaching a one hour class and 2 15 min food breaks...has scrambled eggs for dinner at 7:00.

Did not walk..my foot is still so sore...I was planning to get on the bike..but I am whipped..hardly slept last night....

It was a GREAT PRODUCTIVE DAY...WORK WISE!!

Club 47 Friends......
Son # 3 came home for the weekend Friday night, so I gave myself the day off yesterday, and it was full of family activities. I did update my Friday night blog...
and Saturday I stayed on program with the exception of some raspberries and cool whip for dessert...I had a small piece of steak, vegies and 1/2 cup mashed potatoes for dinner.....yogurt for lunch and no breakfast....truthfully..I have been on a bad roll..with not eating nearly enough calories,.which always halts my weight loss.......and I have had some calls and emails from some of you....Thank YOU for holding me accountable..that is the whole purpose of Club 47!!!!
I am really going to work on eating more this week:)Also..I did not walk Saturday...I was planning to walk in the morning...but woke up with a nasty headache, dizzy again and nauseaus ( I cannot spell that word) I have been that way every morning for over a week..it is peak allergy season for me...and I get congested and get vertigo, then get sick to my stomach...if I take the motion sickness medicine for the vertigo,,then it makes me sleepy so I have not been taking it..I have had a headache for a week and throbbing eyes..makes me want winter to begin....(almost). It seems I am full of excuses..the truth is..I just feel like crap.....but I know I need to just push through...and get this train back on the track!!!

Today...SUNDAY........
It is 1:30 a.m....I have been at my desk since we finished our evening out....heading to bed now.....


10:00 a.m. Well, I started the day better than I have in awhile...I had a yogurt and a glass of water at 10:00 before church.

12:00 had a SMALL coffee

1:30 Son # 3 took me to lunch at Freddy's before heading back to school...I ate one piece of the bun ( the thin piece) with the burger and just a few of their skinny fries...and a diet Dr Pepper...

3:00.p.m. 1 cup of watermelon cubes and a glass of water...more later

4:45 p.m. a small piece of leftover steak and green beans with onion and mushroom
water

6:30...Dinner with friends, but I had already eaten...so had water, a margarita and 6 chips dipped in a little of hubbie's beans....

I did get in a 60 minute power walk..YEAH!!!!

11:29 a.m.Have been at my desk all morning..was at my desk until 1"30 this morning, then could not sleep....have had coffee so far.....:)


2:30 p.m. Had to run to the gallery in Denver...stopped for an iced coffee and a piece of lemon pound cake from Starbucks on the way home....bad..bad...bad.....I let myself get WAY TOO HUNGRY...then made a bad choice!!

Friend and fellow Colorado artist Carol Hein and I went to the Pastel show at Abend gallery tonight, then to my favorite mexican place for dinner...I had Carne Asada steak ( it is a thin strip steak) with guacamole and a little lettuce... (no rice, beans, etc..yeah) i had I think 5 chips, and I did have a margarita.

11:00 p.m. I ate mango ice cream while watching a movie with the family....so....I did not end the day well diet wise!!!!

No walk.....:(

I took the day off yesterday and did not post..we have had family here from New York, and had 2 family events yesterday...one being a FABULOUS brunch prepared by my wonderful sister in law...Karen...I ate way too much...YIKES!!!!
Then ...Mexican last night....I ordered a salad...but had a margarita..which is certainly NOT on program..and the scale showed the SALT today!!!

Today....was out early with no food or drink...not such a good start...

Club 47 Friends...
I did get in a 60 min power walk last night...but my foot is killing me..so I may be on the bike tonight!!

Just trying to catch up on things today.....but feeling a bit down...not being as productive as I'd hoped.

I will give you a small laugh though....among a few other, much more important things...my puppy ate my bra last night!!!! Seriously...he dragged it under the bed and chewed it up....he did me a favor I guess...I am down 14 lbs...so I really needed to buy a smaller one anyway....got to do that today....it's always fun to buy smaller things....but I really won't need to buy much for a long time, as I have the same jeans in 8 sizes...I am down 3 sizes..( 2 since starting CLUB 47) so 3 sizes will go in my yard sale soon!!! I am way behind schedule for the 47 lbs by Nov 15th...but....I am hoping to make up some of that:)

Oh...and...since my big oven is dead and I will not be fixing it anytime soon...I tried to make peanut butter cookies for Son #3...his girlfriend is going up to see him tomorrow, and I wanted to send cookies...well....they did NOT work out at all in the toaster oven...if anyone knows a secret to good toaster oven cookies ...email me!!!!! I have been making loots of fish in there ,...it turns out great!!!

Club 47 Friends.....
Well, both boys are gone and settled into their new places....one in a house, the other in the dorm.....we took son # 3 yesterday...I taught a paint party last night,and today I worked downtown all day...so..I came home to a very quiet house, as son # 4 is off with friends.

Tomorrow I will clean out more closets, drawers, etc,and begin trying to get the house in a "new order". Have not cried over son#3 yet....no time!!!!
I actually felt great peace dropping him yesterday...he and I have a very close relationship, and he is a very mature guy....it felt right..I am excited for him.
I might cry a bit when I go into his room tomorrow to ready it for a house guest we will have on Sunday.

I have been thinking...you know how we all have those cans of things in our pantries, and we seem to just keep buying new food and those cans never get eaten??? Well , I am contemplating challenging myself to eat every can in there before I eat any newly purchased food....( except for yogurt and oat bran, which I have committed to eating every morning). I haven't decided yet...as many of the cans are carbs, which I have been trying not to eat....so I would certainly have to eat very small portions of those foods to keep losing weight....I will of course, buy food for hubby and son # 4...but I would love to see what would happen to the grocery bill if I eat from the pantry until it's gone!!!! Just a wild thought!!!!I would also have to be very diligent with my vitamins and supplements id I did that!!

I am so BEYOND emotional...just living for Friday...it's gotta be better by then..and if not...I have the weekend to cry!!!!

DID YOU KNOW..... if you get a starbucks card...and register it......you then get free refills all day long....so for those like me ( though I am working hard to cut back) who have coffee more than once a day...you only pay for the first cup.....then you can go back as many times as you want in that day and get the same drink free.....!!!!!

9:30 a.m.That is NOW...I am drinking a glass of water and getting ready to teach clinic from 10:00-1:00. Will NOT have a popsicle with the kids....though I will want one!!!!:)

I could not get internet on my computer at the gallery today..so am behind on admin..but I did get 2 small paintings done today.

Club 47 Friends.... I did not walk again last night....was still feeling really sick..I think I had a little stomach bug...still felt bad this morning, but much better this afternoon.

THE SCALE FINALLY MOVED....IT HAS BEEN STUCK FOR 2 WEEKS...AND IS FINALLY DOWN ANOTHER POUND..HOPEFULLY IT WILL KEEP GOING DOWN NOW FOR AWHILE...SO OFFICIALLY DOWN ABOUT 10 LBS SINCE BEGINNING CLUB 47...BUT IT HAS BEEN 6 WEEKS, SO I AM BEHIND SCHEDULE.,WAS SHOOTING FOR 2.5 LBS A WEEK...BUT AS I HAVE SHARED...SEVERAL SETBACKS...ANYHOW..HERE IS THE FOOD FOR TODAY...NOT SO HOT....STILL NOT EATING ENOUGH...

9:30a.m. 16 oz coffee

12:30 p.m. 5 oz Greek Vanilla fat free yogurt

2:00 p.m.a handful of pepperoni rounds and a 20 oz iced coffee

6:00 p.m. 2 angus beef hot dogs ( no bun s of course) with a 1.2 cup of no bean chili and 1 oz of cheese...16 oz water

Still have to drink a lot more tonight and walk.

Today is the end of week six....many setbacks week 6 ...looking ahead to week 7.




10:52 p.m. I've had 3 glasses of water since my last post and got in a 63 minute power walk.....will be working at the gallery in Denver tomorrow...just packed my paints and lunch....including 4 16 oz bottles of water....nighty night:)

This 5x7 on prepared paper is NOT new....I did NOT get to paint today, but will be painting for sure tomorrow morning..and promise to have a new piece.
I do love this piece, the palette is wonderful and I have never been able to duplicate it on a larger canvas, though I have tried!!It will be shipped with a black mat.

Club 47 Friends.... Well last night I wrote at 9:30 p.m that I was going to sign off to eat and walk....but i did neither..did not feel well...had some chills..nothing to worry about..I think....just exhausted. Today has been a full day....no painting yet...had a business/pleasure lunch and lots of desk work...
Business because she will begin working with me on some projects,pleasure because she is a lovely lady and sweet friend...

Food...

Nothing this morning...not even coffee on the road..YIKES!!!
12:00 Lunch was pot roast, steamed spinach and a few sweet potato fries...coffee water

5:00 p.m. RICE CRISPY TREAT AT MY DESK..90 CAL---17 CARBS..YIKES!!!! GOT TOO HUNGRY
5:15 BACK ON THE RUN..OUT THE DOOR

7:00P.M. 3 SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH A LITTLE CHEESE


8:05 p.m. That is NOW... I am whipped,,,but will try to walk ...and need to drink LOTS more....before bed

This painting is NOT new..I was painting for my upcoming show and did not get a new one done today for CLUB 47.It is a fun little whimsical piece, 8x10 on 140 lb watercolor paper....

8:47 p.m. Well..I did have a bit of balance today...I spent some time this morning with friend and fellow Colorado artist Carol Nelson....coffee this morning in her GORGEOUS back yard/patio, then a sampling of a fresh GAZPACHO she had made...oh my...yummy and almost NO calories..she gave me the recipe and I will make it this weekend!!!Thank you Carol!!!
Then of course,,,work, work, work, teach...then I took an hour break to go to hubby's softball game...

Not enough food or drink today...I have NO appetite,,what is wrong with me I don't know..I think the heat!!!!

12:00p.m venti iced coffee ( from home...got to the store to get half & half...so NO Starbucks today)

2:00 p.m. 5oz. of Greek plain nonfat yogurt

7:30 p.m. 2 eggs & water

8:50 p.m. ...NOW..drinking more water....getting ready to go work out...GOTTA eat when I get back....but nothing sounds at all appealing...I truly am NOT trying NOT to eat.....just no time today and no appetite..... more later...
